What does morning sickness feel like?

I am ttc and have thrown up every day for the last three days. Now it may be I have a bug, as other than about 20 seconds before needing to throw up I feel fine, and am ready to eat straight away afterwards, but there is no nausea or anything the rest of the time.

personally I felt sick all the time, the difference between MS and other sickness for me was that actually being sick brought no relief, I still felt sick immediately afterwards.

For me morning sickness was more about teh nausea than the throwing up...in actual fact it was all nausea.

Hideous - just hideous. Nausea all the time, with the vomiting making no difference whatsoever. There was no pain as there usually is with a bug, but from morning to night I felt sick or was actually sick and this went on for weeks. I ended up in hospital on a drip with DD - def. the worst part of all of my pregnancies.

Anyway (pushing those horrible memories to one side!) - fingers crossed that your vomiting is a sign of a baby!

Like being on a very small ship on the high seas all the time. I was only ever sick once, when I tried to take Gaviscon but I constantly felt sea sick.

i find that for a while before im sick, i feel reeeeally sick, but as soon as im sick, im ok for a bit.. until im sick again.. lol..

With DS used to feel sick quite a lot of the day and then used to feel better after actually being sick. With DD just felt sick all the time but not actually sick. Hope you are pregnant and havent got a bug. Have you missed a period?

It does sound like morning sickness to me.
However, for me, I felt nauseous for a week or 2 before my sickness actually began.
Once it did begin I would wake up feeling absolutely fine and then all of sudden need to be sick. U can feel fine one second and be chucking your guts up the next.
Everyone is different and it does change as your pregnancy progresses.
Also, u may find that u start feeling queezy if you've not eaten for...well in my case about half an hour! lol.
If this is morning sickness then u will have enough pg hormone to get a positive test result...so get testing...now!

my ms was like constant nausea and just really really queasy must have started from about conception (honest) till around 8 weeks then i was throwing up constant till about 22 weeks and occasionally now at 26 weeks.

The things that make me throw up are smells, being hungry (constantly snacking does help) if i eat too much!!

if your pg and throwing up theres a good chance you will get a positive hpt as your hormone levels wil be getting quite high. how far along might you be?

constant nausea & retching. lying still, turning my head on the pillow, could start me off! even on the op table, with the em cs starting!!

I was exactly as you described. I had no warning at all and then I was really sick...which was exciting. Then I wanted to eat straight away, it was very wierd. I am now 18 weeks and it has gone, finally After a dramatic finale on Boxing Day!

my best relief came from wearing acupressure wrist bands used to relieve travel sickness

I couldn't take mine off

borriebear I had a dramatic finale of sorts too! I had terrible nausea throughout the first 13 weeks (am now 20) - mostly actually in the afternoons on the bus home from work, when I hadn't eaten for about 4 hours - I'd get hot, sweaty, really faint, desperately need to lie down etc - real good signs of low blood sugar. Anyway, one morning I just felt poo so stayed at home - by the time dp got home, I was practically wrapped around the loo, dry heaving, crying, snot dripping (sorry) - he dragged me to bed (not in THAT way) force fed me a strong cup of sweet tea and stayed with me till I fell asleep (bless). Touch wood I've been fine since! So do NOT envy people with it all the time!!

Mine is constant nausea which gets worse througout the day, by evening I cant even face the thought of eating!

Its a bit like that very vunereable hangover feeling but it gets worse if I dont eat small and often!

I am nearly 7 weeks with my 2nd and had nothing with ds so Im feeling very sorry for myself lol

Mine only stopped 4 weeks ago (am 26+5)

It was hell.

Sick 24 hours a day, as someone else said, it was like a constant hangover.

Horrible!!

like the worst hangover you've ever had minus the headache, all day every day. for me from week 6, 16 weeks on moday and its still here....also when i am sick, there is very little warning , unlike normal sickness, i don't get the watery mouth feeling beforehand, I just throw up. Nausea started 1 week prior to sickness (i.e. at 5 weeks), and I feel nauseus all day. Do hope it fades soon.

i am 12 days late on my period, i have a weird feeling in my tummy at the top and a butterfly feeling all through my stomach. i am very gassy. i took a pregnancy test 5 days ago n it was negative. im going to take another one tomorrow. i also have a thick white discharge (sorry people) does this sound like pregancy?? im sooo scared!
