hello... i'm 37 + 4 and have for the last couple of weeks been waking up a couple of times during the night absolutley drenched in sweat... anyone else experienced this? Someone suggested it may be anxiety but i thought i was feeling very calm and relaxed!

No way! Me too! I woke up with a damp t-shirt two nights in a row, gasping for water. I changed my pyjamas to cooler, summer ones last night and slept like a log so might have been that I was overdoing it with the thermals. Try less blankets/night clothes?

I had this both pregnancies, it's very normal. Your blood volume increases and your heart has to work harder when pg, so you get hotter easier

It will most probably carry on for a few weeks after you have the baby as it's also the bodies way of getting rid of the extra fluid you accumulated during the pregnancies. You'll also do huge wee's!

thanks - as long as i know i'm not the only one! I only sleep in my knickers anyway so i must really be generating a lot of extra heat... my partner was complaining of being cold the other night... i suppose he doesn't have the internal hot water bottle i have...

Hi babber. I am 35 weeks and I have been getting these awful night sweats for the past 2 weeks as well. It is absolutely disgusting as I am soaking the bed. Dh is being really gret about it and getting me clean pj's and changing the sheets in the night as needed but hate it. As if sleeping isn't bad enough at this stage.
I thought it was maybe the room temp or the duvet too heavy but I fell asleep on the sofa the other day, uncovered and woke up half an hour later drenched.
It must be yet another glam pregnancy symptom as the others have said.
In fact I am currently working my way through the list of pregnancy moans and ticking all the boxes. NEVER AGAIN. Mind you thats what I said last time

Well I'm amazed because that's what's happening to me. On my chest and under my breasts especially!
