Pregnant but has period

I am about 5weeks preg but last week when my period was due I had some bleeding. I have heard this is quite normal and the same thing happend with my first child. With my first child they sent me for an early scan just to make sure evrything was ok. I am seeing the doc this afternoon but just wondered if any of you guys you had experince of this.Thanks

I had a bleed when I was 10 weeks pg with DS. Hope that everything's OK for you - sounds like it might just be something that happens to you in early pregnancy? xxxxxx

Yes, I bled just after my period would have been due. Apparently it is an implantation bleed, from when the embryo is burrowing into the womb.
