Can someone explain maternity leave. Is it 6mth or 9mth paid leave?

That's it really, i thought it was changed to 9mth but it says 6mth (26wks) on the website.

I'm confused (doesn't take much)

it varies depending on your employer I think

I used to be 6months but it changed and this time its 9months

It is 9 months SMP, and then up to another 3 unpaid.

Your employer may offer a more generous package, but that is the basic.

Statutory is 9 months at statutory maternity pay. Employers can offer more than that though if they want to.

My employer is Royal Mail.
