I need a casual maternity skirt preferably denim and under £20.

Has anyone seen one on their travels?

I have looked in Mothercare / Peacocks.

TIA

eBay?

RaspberryBlower · 07/01/2009 20:39

I got a denim one last year in H&M. I would try there. Also try New Look. You could phone them first to save going? I gave it away or else you could have had it.

gigglewitch · 07/01/2009 20:40

JMB - here the prices are a little higher than you wanted but there is a sale on atm and there might be voucher codes ?

gigglewitch · 07/01/2009 20:41

I got mine in H&M too

hkz · 07/01/2009 20:48

I got a fab one from laredoute 3009&DocumentId=V624&CompanyId=R&Path=17512698/17513325&source=

You can get quite good voucher codes off the internet to get a big discount too

Pinkmarshmallow · 07/01/2009 21:11

Got mine from JoJoMamanBébé. A bit more than 20 quid but worth it, I think.

QueenFee · 07/01/2009 21:25

Thanks

I had forgotten about H&M as its a bit out of the way here. Will call them.

Ebay stuff is selling as expensive as new so might as well have a new one. I had a gorgeous one from Asda for my other 2 but I gave all my matty clothes away as I wasn't going to have any more

Can't afford the JMB ones unfortunately as they look great.

10% Mumsnet discount on JMB.

QueenFee - I have the long Jojo denim skirt from the link that gigglewitch posted. It's too long for me so you are welcome to it if you like (it's a size 8, the sizes are pretty roomy so if you are an 8-10 it will fit no problem).

HTH

QueenFee · 08/01/2009 10:48

Thanks Tinasan that would have been lovely but i'm a 12.
Very kind of you to offer.

I bought a great skirt from the maternity range in United Colours of Benetton. It was a little over £20 (like £35 I think?) but I wear it so often that it has been worth the spend.

Good luck! Finding decent maternity clothes can be a challenge!

mum4ever · 08/01/2009 16:56

What about this denim pinafore

Not a skirt I know but within budget however only a few sizes left?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/01/2009 19:49

I'm sure I have a Mothercare denim skirt that's size 12 (which I barely fit into with 1st pregnancy, and can't for the life of me fit into this time round, 3rd pregnancy! ) Hmmm, I wonder where it is - must be around here somewhere! It's long (tho not excessively long) and has a bump panel in the front. Would that be any use to you if I can find it?

QueenFee · 08/01/2009 20:58

That would be fab Rachel

You ladies are great at coming up with ideas - thanks

I cant have a pinafore as I have big boobs and the bottom doesn't fit when the top does IYSWIM good idea though!

I'll try to have a look tomorrow and will get back to you. Hopefully it's still around, and not toooo far away!

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 08/01/2009 21:10

Hi. I got a great denim skirt from Gap Maernity in the sale. £9.99. Not sure if any left. But log on and see if there's any left if you don't have a store near by. A friend also said that M&S do maternity clothes? Might be worth a look.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 10/01/2009 11:07

QueenFee: Just popping on to say I'm really sorry I haven't been able to look for the skirt yet. We've all come down with awful vomitting virus, and at 28weeks preg, can't really cope with not being able to keep fluids down etc....and look after 2 toddlers who are also ill! But hopefully we'll be recovered soon and I can try to find it for you. My youngest son is much better today (been ill since Wednesday), so hopefully not too many days left for the rest of us.

Haylstones · 11/01/2009 15:53

Hi I just came across my bag of maternity clothes and found a denim maternity skirt from Blooming MArvellous is it. For some reason I remembered this thread- if you want it you are welcome to it as I have no intentions of needing it again! It's a size 12.

QueenFee · 22/01/2009 21:40

Just to say a big thanks to Rachel. The skirt arrived yesterday and is lovely. Thanks for your efforts.

Haylstones Thanks for your offer. I would like it if it is short as Rachel has kindly sent me her long one. Thanks for the offer anyway!
