Need some advice - is it just the baby using my bladder as a trampoline??

Hi lovely mumsnetters!

I have a couple of daft questions that have been bothering me. Every now and then, especially when I'm walking, I get a strong feeling of pressure in my lower bump and on my bladder which is really uncomfortable. Sometimes gets better when I pee, but not always. Is it just the baby lying on my bladder or is it something to worry about? I'm 27 weeks.

Also (another daft question) - it is normal to feel quite wet 'down there' all the time?

Some reassurance for a neurotic 1st timer would be much appreciated!!

Yes and yes - esp. the 'wet down there' feeling (the discharge thing REALLY freaked me out the first time, I was prepared for it this time round)

Don't worry .... the pressure does increase and the wet feeling isn't pleasant but something i think we all experience!

Thanks for the reassurance! I should really write down all these pregnancy 'symptoms' so I remember that they were normal if I decide to do this pregnancy thing again!!

Yes, my baby seems to love trampolining also. Every now and again I get a real sudden urge to pee, think I'm goin to wet myself or something, then the urge quickly goes away again, think it's just whatever way baby hits on the bladder. Weird.

And yes, I'm constantly wet down there too...Keep up with the pelvic floor exercises as the increased pressure on these muscles is enormous at this late stage of pg.
