Them hormones are pesky things eh!

I used to get them comments...i actually liked them....it's nice to know that if bump is growing then baby is!

I do know what you mean though..they are stating the bleeding obvious.....wait til you have twins....a WHOLE load more daft comments!

CatIsSleepy · 08/01/2009 12:00

I am going to start to wear a sandwich board saying "Yes aren't I big, Yes, it's going fine and actually at the moment I'm more excited about the new season of 24 starting on sky on Monday and the thought of drooling over Kiefer Sutherland with a snickers in my hand".

Penthesileia - that smack the pony sketch is excellent! Thanks forposting it.

I've been temping at the same office for the last 3 1/2 months. I started when I was just over 4 months and not realy showing to those who didn't know me. Just beore xmas leave someone said to me 'you can't hide being pregnant now it is summer can you? your getting bigger, must be all the morning teas'. (I live in New Zealand and it is now summer here).
You'd think she'd realise that after 3 1/2 months I'm bound to look a bit more pregnant than before. And why would I be trying to hide it!
TBH my bump is small and tight and I don't look 7 months preggers! Silly lady.
I've only had one person get up for me on a bus and that was a great feeling!

mumface · 09/01/2009 11:54

Now u mention giving up seats on buses,i sat next 2 a young lad after politely asking him 2 move his crate of beer on new years eve.
He said Can't u sit over there?ive got nowhere 2 put my beer! And pointed 2 the back seat.I also had a toddler in pushchair at front of bus to watch!I went mad at him, declaring 2 the whole packed bus that he'd rather let his beer sit down than a pregnant lady.

Great thread. I think people assume we're just public property aren't we really?
Before Xmas loads of people kept telling me how small I was now that bump's grown normal at 6 1/2 months preggers all I hear is how big I am. Things like 'you do look pregnant' or 'it must be all those mincepies'. I've had that all week!!
Don't get me started on people who try to pat my bump or mother in law enquiring every single week about bump growth (as opposed to how I might be feeling) -- have now ordered hubbie to say it's not grown much just to freak her out! Know it's mean but I don't care.
Rant over!

I got told today, by a 3rd party, that I was looking larger than my friend who is due next week (I am 7 months) and then that I was carrying so low it would be round my knees soon. Gee thanks.
