Ok,...My mate had her last proper period end of October and is on the mini pill, her periods are very iregular, and some sometimes she wont have a proper bleed.

She was anti biotics and took the morning after pill beg of Dec and a week after had a small bleed.

Anyway so shes taken 2 tests both diff makes and they came up positive, (shes only been with her new partner a short time) so the nxt day she felt she should do another, one came up positive and TWO negative. She then went to the doctors and their test came up negative.

She has had cramping the past few days and clumpy white dishcarge (sorry if tmi) but no period.

All her poitive tests were cheap tests unbranded and bought at diff times, and one cheaper test is neg,....

Any opinions views or comments would be much appreciated cos we're more than baffled now....

Thankyou x

I don't know if it is relevent in this case but for 5 of my early miscarriages i tested only 1 day past my period due date and got a positive then only 2 days later got a negative but had no bleeding untill 2 weeks after that, i had been pregnant but misscarried so the pg hormine plummeted quickly creating the positive then neg tests.

Hiya, sorry yes i normally post under a different name but havent told anyone in RL yet about number 3 and know a friend is a member of MN and knows my username.

StealthPo09IsHere · 04/01/2009 20:59

Ah right. You may not know but there is someone who had a very similar name to yours who was kicked off a little while ago because of her racist posts. Just thought you'd like to know as I did a double take when I saw your name and I'm probably not the only one! Congratulations on bfp by the way - when are you due?

undercovermummy · 04/01/2009 21:03

eek! i was not aware of that. Thank you for letting me know. I normally just stick to my PN thread

I'm due 13th Sept, so very early days at the moment, still trying to get my head around our surprise

I can vouch for undercovermummy just in case there is any confusion about her.

It's me, er the one who likes, er ginger themed snacks.

just in case the OP, or anyone else needs to know - blood tests aren't 100% reliable - they tell you the homrone levels fine, but can't explain why they are like that, e.g. i did IVF, went for homrone test, it came back present but very low. then had a LONG chat about how it could be ectopic/start of mc/ just my crazy body/a 'slow starter' etc.

so even blood tests can be confusing
