I'm 7+6 weeks today. This morning i found a little bit of brown discharge, nothing since. I have had mild cramps on and off since 4 weeks, this hasn't changed at all today. Would you worry about this? I'm not sure what to think.

Hi I hope tomorrow brings good news xx

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 04/01/2009 15:00

i had this happen to me twice, first time went for scan and it was a mmc, second time went and it was old blot clot from an implantation bleed and am now 12 weeks.
these things can be nothing or it can be something, its impossible to say it will all be fine, or it wont be.

all i can say is TRY not to worry, and make sure u let us all know.

ppl on here are great support, where ever you go from here, i wish you all the best xx

Hi, I actually had a bright red show at about 9 weeks and was enough I had to change my knockers sorry if TMI lol was really scared as has MC before I had DD. ran to doctors in a right state as they're only round the corner it was about 5pm so doctor said would arrange a scan next day and signed me off work for a week with threatened MC (this did nothing to calm me!) but had scan next day and all was absoloutely fine they said at the time it was about right for a show as things are burrowing in a bot deeper etc and that after 8 weeks ish they're as confident with the scan of all ok as they are with a 12 week scan.
I had no more bleeding but the way they were talking they seemed to fully expect that I would/could and not to worry unless became heavier than a period .
On my 20 week scan they did find I had a low placenta (which has now all moved- i'm 34 weeks now.)so I also wonder if that was maybe caused the show as I had been doing hoovering and housework just before.
Godd luck i'm sure alls fine!

Hope all well and that everything goes well with the scan tomorrow. x

fairywing · 05/01/2009 11:54

It's hard not to think the worst, I did even though I'd had similar with DS, try to remember that lots of people have had this and thought the worst and all was fine. From what I've read the vast majority of times there's no identifiable problem and women go on to have healthy pregnancies (and I am quite neurotic so did a fair amount of research!). Good luck tomorrow.

ask them to check for free fluid around the area of your tubes to check for ectopic pregnancy, even if they see something in the womb, just to be sure it;s not a twin thing.

i've had two ectopics, the classic sign would be brown bleeding but i didn't have that with either... the one time i had brown bleeding was with dd1! it's all completely impossible to say, really, but you've done the right thing by getting a scan booked.

timmette · 05/01/2009 13:11

Hi fairywing the same thing is happening to me at the moment I am 6 weeks approx - and I am going to see a gynae on Wed morning - I hope it all goes well for you I know how scary it is.

Fozzie78 · 05/01/2009 14:45

Fairywing, I know exactly how you feel, I had an ectopic last year Sept and the waiting for scans and blood tests etc were terrible.
I wish you all the best for tomorrow and my fingers are crossed for you x

twinmam · 05/01/2009 18:10

Have everything crossed for you x

brettgirl2 · 05/01/2009 20:39

All the best for tomorrow, it is much better to know for certain and may well be a happy outcome. In my case it was fine, I'll keep everything crossed for you all.

RaspberryBlower · 05/01/2009 20:48

Fairywing, good luck for tomorrow. I bled throughout my pregnancy, about once a fortnight, both brown and red blood, and the baby was fine. But every time it happened I always went to get it checked out, as anyone else reading this and experiencing bleeding must too. It's a scary time, so my thoughts are with you.

Fozzie78 · 06/01/2009 14:42

Hi fairywing how did you get on?

fairywing · 06/01/2009 15:02

Doesnt look good, sonographer put me at 6 weeks instead of 8, i don't think i can be. Just started a new thread on it.
