went to midwife just on 23rd and she said my fundal level was about an inch above my belly button so why is it that watching bump now I can see and feel movement much higher than that?

Don't know, but I got that both pregnancies too. I think it could've raised within a week and a bit, but also, you feel movement all around the uterus , not just at the front. It could be that you're feeling it from the top, sides or bottom. I remember getting kicked in the fanjo a lot when pregnant with DS...
