I'm 6 weeks pg, got a nasty case of cystitis, is there anything i can take for it beyond cranberry juice which is foul or lemon barley water?

there is an over the counter product which should be ok - just check when you buy it. Sorry I can't remember the name. A teaspoon or two of bicarnonate of soda dissolved in water is yuck but reduces the acidity of your wee which makes it sting less. Also drink lots and lots of water - not all at once but throughout the day.

I would also recommend going to your gp as water infections can be problematic in pregnancy.

let your gp know....its relevant in a pregnancy. i hadn't had it before and oooooh my god it was agony...needed antibiotics to get rid of it.
