I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have just noticed my boob leaking a couple of little droplets of milk. I have read some stuff in books about it but now I'm worried that this is colostrum, it's come too early and the baby won't get any of it when she's born. Is it possible to run out? Does it matter if so?

feel a bit ignorant - sorry.

Don't think you are that early - I leaked enough to have to ghange breast pads a few times a day from 16 weeks! Don't think you can run out!

Yep, started noticing it at 24 weeks ish - delightful stuff!

Hi
I had the start of colostrum from about week 9! I haven't had any leaking though, I find if I squeeze it out in the shower it doesn't leak.

My MW said she knew someone who started collecting it at 36 weeks, freezing it for when the baby arrived (or to donate to mothers who weren't producing any when they gave birth)!!

Yeah my mum warned me the other day that I might start getting leaky boobs soon, ooooh the delights of pregnancy

I can't remember exactly when, but at some point in my 3rd trimester with DD1, I remember looking down to see colostrum literally running from my right nipple. Gave me a right fright!
