I'm pretty sure baby has engaged, could this be the reason I'm having such a lot of pressure up my bum?

Don't recall having this before with my other 3 pg's. People are telling me my bump is low so I guess she could just be in a good position, though hopefully not just yet.

Lots of pulling in foof too, ? also related to where her head could be?

We had a scan a week ago and Cons said then she was in a perfect position for labour

Have m/w appt tomorrow, might ask her then, though she prolly thinks I'm crackers enough.

I really did think by the time I got to pg no.4 I'd have a bit more of a clue....

I'm tempted to have a rummage for my cervix and see if anything's going on

Bumping for you.

I didn't have a clue what you meant by this when I first read it last night.

Today (at 40+1) I really, really sympathise. I keep getting a pain literally up my backside. I was walking down the stairs and I couldn't stand up straight, it was so sharp. I had to loiter for about a minute before I could continue. And it's like a desperate urge for a poo (TMI) but I don't actually need one. And also sharp pains in the fanjo. And backache, and an aching tightness under the bump. I've had pains like this to a lesser extent over the past two weeks. Today is definitely the most painful day so far, and hoping it's all kicking off, but still not painful enough to be labour, IYSWIM.

What did the MW say? Did she say it was possibly the baby's head? Mine said yesterday my baby's head couldn't get any lower without me actually being in labour.

I'm getting that sort of pain too, I'm 38 wks and the last day have had this shooting pain in my leg and my bum! Plus aching and cramps and tons of braxton hicks..think the baby is head butting my pelvis! Come on labour!

Saw the m/w today, that's exactly what it is, baby's head.

She squirmed about last night and her head lifted slightly out of my pelvis so it's eased for me, but given I've still got 6 weeks to go that's reassuring, well 3 weeks for HB.

BIFM your description is exact

Cervix rummaging produced partial show and a short piece of mush for a cervix open about 2cm but I've had kids before so that could be entirely normal.

I hope you both labour soon btw, good luck!

What BIFM said... "And it's like a desperate urge for a poo (TMI) but I don't actually need one. And also sharp pains in the fanjo. And backache, and an aching tightness under the bump."... is exactly how i'm feeling at the moment, and have felt for about a week now. Also can't walk too far without the aching under my bump getting bad. I'm 33 weeks (+1)... does this mean the baby may be engaged? (It's my second pregnancy BTW).
