I'm two days overdue and this afternoon have stuffy nose, headache and am suddenly knackered. Am I just getting a cold with very bad timing, or can someone offer glimmer of hope that these are pre-labour symptoms?!

(NB - haven't done anything truly alarming like start to swell up or vomit...)

Doesn't sound like labour symptoms, but it can't be long for you now so i strongly suggest you take to your bed with a pile of good books and rest up to try and shift the cold and get the rest you need before d-day - for what it's worth i spent my last few days of pregnancy googling to see if various niggles could be labour symptoms. I now think that was a complete waste of time! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

I'm 39+6 and every day wake up convinced that I have a cold with stuffy nose, heavy eyes etc. Apparently it's a common symptom of pregnancy, not necessarily imminent labour (unfortunately...)!

Oh dear, this reminds me so much of myself, I went to 40+11 and every morning I hoped to God that whatever I was feeling was a sign that I would go into labour. As it was, I didn't really get any sign at all. I don't think that having a stuffy nose etc is a sign of labour I'm afraid hun. I tried my hardest to find things to do when I was overdue because otherwise I would drive myself insane looking for signs and getting disappointed that yet again I was not in labour!
