well i have been having thicker discharge the last few days. last night i went to the toiler and when I wiped there was a very long stringy yellow things that came out. I ignored it and went to bed.

got up this morning everything fine, but about lunch time I went to the toilet and when i pulled my knickers down there was this HUGE glob of yellow/creamy stuff in there - it filled the middle of my knickers and just was sitting there!. I was very very sticky very thick but NO blood etc. I was about the size of ping pong ball (if you rolled it up! - it was all stretched out flat).

I have read that the plug regenrates so if it is this then this isnt a problem right? I have no other changes at all to report.

I have never actually seen my plug before and have not had anything like this is either of my first two pregnancies. I had increased discharge but nothing like this!.

Hmm my plug was thick and brown/cream/bit bloody. Are you sure it is your plug and not just an accumulation of thick discharge?

I get green/yellow snot like discharge all the time (am 16 weeks) and did with last pg.

Lovely eh?

fernie, I'm 24 weeks and have been having this also. Had it for a couple of days, two big blobs though.

I also have never seen my plug in other 2 pgs so wasn't sure if it was that or not.

Could it be thrush? I had a huge plug of goo in my third pregnancy and that's what it was.

hi I did think i might be some kind of infection but it was nothing like i have ever seen before so made me think it was the plug. do you think i need to get tested for an infection or something? or just wait and see if it happens again?

Fernie - I would give your MW a quick call, have you any other symptoms - i.e. itchy, smelly etc?

fernie3 · 29/12/2008 16:37

i dont have any other symptoms at all today , yesterday I was having alot of BH but they settled down in the night. I left a message for my midwife now - whether or not she will call back is anyones guess!

Hmm, not convinced it is your plug - think it is possibly just a load of gloop. Ain't pg glam. Hope MW calls back and puts your mind at rest

Don't mean to scare you but ... my friend had her show at around this time. The hospital kept her in for observation for a few days, but then discharged her. A week after the show had appeared she went into labour and her baby was born 7 weeks early.

Yours may well not be anything like this, but I reckon it's important you get it checked out to be on the safe side.
