Echinaforce during pregnancy?

Used to take this occasionally pre preg and got OH to buy a bottle as I am getting so ill. However just seen that it says not for pregnancy /breastfeeding. Their literature seems to imply echinacea itself is ok so I assume its the ethanol issue - one dose =3.7ml wine . And they appear to advise not taking it.

Anyone any experience of this? Desperately trying to boost my immune system - been on vit c/zinc and fruit etc for 2 months to no avial. Worried about the amount of paracetamol I have been taking during 2nd half pregnancy so far :-(

It is the same with most herbal medicines, they haven't been tested during pregnancy, so although not known to be harmful, they don't really know. I would avoid it, paracetamol has been tested and is known to be safe. Try and boost your immunity through your diet, plenty of fresh food and fish.

Good luck with the pregnancy and I hope you get better soon.
