Severe pins and needles at night?

I'm coming up 7 weeks. Every night I'm waking up every few hours with one hand completely numb from pins and needles. It's whichever side I've been sleeping on.

Is this normal? Anything I can do to stop it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm not sure it's Carpal Tunnel as it's not painful - just numb.

Are you sleeping with your hand under your head or body? I keep getting pins and needles because I'm lying on my side more and keep putting my hands under my pillow... I sometimes worry if it's a circulation thing, though. Do you normally get pins and needles much? Maybe worth calling your midwife if you're worried. x

I don't think it's under my body, at least it isn't when I'm going off to sleep. Haven't got a midwife app til 10 weeks so will mention it to doc. Thanks.

Sorry I can't be much help... Probably best to mention it though if it's happening a lot. I know sometimes cramp can be a side effect of pregnancy due to not getting enough salt, I think, but not sure about pins and needles. There might be an antenatal clinic near you that you can phone up? x

God I am definitely getting enough salt - all the chips, crisps and sausage rolls I'm craving! I've got an early scan next week so I'll ask then.

Thanks.
