I am not entitled to either a nuchal scan or a 20 week anomoly scan- what one (if any) should I get done privately?

I live in Glasgow and am PG with #2. I was able to get a nuchal scan in my 1st pregnancy on the NHS and we then paid for a private anomoly scan at 20 weeks because we aren't entitled to 20 week ones on the NHS here (!).

I'm not sure what to do now with this pregnancy- I would like to get both a nuchal scan and a 20 week scan but we can't afford both (would be £200 each). My hospital no longer does nuchal scans on the NHS grrrrrrrrrr so that would need to be private this time. I'm in a bit of a dilemma- should I get a nuchal scan OR a 20 week anomoly scan OR neither?

I've just turned 33.

Help!

I had my 20 week scan at Stirling too. It's standard there. It's also standard to have a 32 week scan if you've had a previous c-section. No nuchal though. I went private to Healthcare Now in Edinburgh for mine. They were really nice there and full results very quickly. (Although the result just came back as normal for my age (39)).

Nowpregnant, is that in all areas?

how do you know that?

I paid for a 20 week scan last time (I'm in South Lanarkshire), so would be delighted to get one as a matter of course this ime!
