Did you have similar pregnancy symptoms in all your pregnancies- were they different if PG with a boy or girl?

Hi, I am 8 and a bit weeks PG with #2, we have a DS already who is 14 months old. I seem to be having the exact same pregnancy with this one- tired all the time, cravings for crisps and fruitellas, snotty nose, and absolutely no sickness or nausea! So I am thinking we are having another little boy!

That would be fab but it just got me wondering- do pregnancies with the same sex of baby usually produce the same symptoms in pregnancy?

What's happened in your case? Did you have the same sypmtoms and the same gender baby or wildly different pregnancies and different gender of baby, or something totally different?

We would love either sex, I keep thinking of beanie as a boy but it would be equally fab if beanie is a girl too!

I've had pretty much the same pregnancy 3 times and the first two were boys and they tell me this one is a girl. We'll see in March if they are correct or not.

Quite different pregnancies & two girls.

My two boy pregnancies were the same, but my girl pregnancy was very different.

Know people who have had it both ways... convinced that no2 was going to be the opposite gender because pg was so different, then turned out the same... or pgs were very similar and had different... think it just depends on how your body deals with pg as much as anything else.

As for me... my second pg has been really similar - but can't tell you the result yet, as dc2 has decided to stay firmly inside although due last week!

i had a v different pregnancy second time round. but had another child of the same sex.

ditto a friend, she was convinced she was having a girl as her pg was so different, but it was another boy.

this time round I guess I am pretty similar to my last, so we'll see!

I was ill from day one with dd1,dd2 and dd3...with dc4 it was the best 'text book' non sickness pregnancy that I've had thought it was def a boy! Then along comes dd4!! So who knows!!

Identical pregnancies and one of each. Not sure if that helps

mrsgboring · 21/12/2008 20:45

One of each with very similar pregnancies. This one is quite different, so goodness knows what it is!

I was sicker with my first pg - a DD but then first pregnancies often are a bit sicker apparently, I worked full time and didn't know the best coping strategies.

I had one of each...slightly diff pregnancies but carried them exactly the same way. The main diff was that i felt a lot sicker with DD than i had done with DS.

Havin said that had a friend who had identical pregnancies and had one of each!

But...one thing i did notice 2nd time was that i had a strong gut feeling that this one would be a girl, when i pictured DS with the baby is was always a little sister he had

lisad123 · 21/12/2008 23:46

both my preggys were different and i have 2 fabby girls

DD - was very, very sick and got huge, carried really 'wide'.

DS - was a bit less sick, got a huge bump, but all out the front, not wide.

DC3 - 10 weeks gone so far, am pretty sick, not quite as bad as DD, but much worse than DS. At this stage I think it a girl...but obviosuly I don't know really.
