7 weeks.2nd scan.sac,yolk dissapeared from last week.upet and confused.

I had an internal scan last week at 5-6 weeks.Sac and yolk present but no heartbeat which apparently is normal.repeat scan a week later and sac but nothing else found.I have a tilted uterus also.Was basically told to return next week for repeat scan but d&c was mentioned also.Told basically there was no baby there.Very confused,Has anyone else any advice.thanks x

I'm so sorry. This has happened to me several times, which obviously doesn't help you right now. What I did learn is that early scans don't always reassure.

During this pregnancy I had a scan at what I thought was 7 weeks (by dates) but turned out to be 5 weeks with no heartbeat. I thought it would go the same way as the other pregnancies and come to nothing. Miraculously this one held on and I'm now 20 weeks. Are you sure of your dates? It is very common for a heartbeat not to be seen until 7/8 weeks, as it depends on the skill of the sonographer, the equipment etc but also the accuracy of your dates.

Hold on until next week, it isn't necessarily the end. Have the measurements increased at all?
