Am I going mad? - shrinking bump!!

I'm 37 weeks with dc2. Its very odd but my bump seems to be getting smaller! It was never that big to begin with

At my last appointment the MW started muttering about growth so I don't know if I'm being paranoid....

I have a vague memory that when the baby's head engages, your bump seems to get a bit smaller because the baby has dropped a bit into your pelvis.

Could that be it?

has it 'dropped' ie lightening where the baby moves down into the pelvis? Might look lower down from the side, but smaller to you from 'above'.

if same mw using same tapemeasure, she'll probably check next week.

Don't second babies engage later? I don't think its engagement as I still can't breathe when I walk up the stairs

I'm seeing the MW again on Tuesday so I'm sure she'll check then (I've been seeing a mix of midwives and consultants my last two measurements were 35 then 33.5 - but they were by different people). Bubs is still kicking like a horse anyway
