Counting weeks and days - technical question

I had a scan this morning which put me at 8w4d. So that means tomorrow is 8+5 and Thursday is 8+6 - but is Friday 9 weeks or 8+7? I assume if it's 8+7 then you go directly to 9+1 on Saturday? I was counting 8, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5, +6, 9.

Does it even matter!?!?

Thanks!

8+6 and then 9 weeks.

It's 8, 8+1, 8+2, 8+3, 8+4, 8+5 , 8+6, 9. Or that's what i've always thought anyway.

Cool, thanks! That's what I thought too!

So I'll be 9+6 on Christmas day, which seems a perfectly reasonable time to tell family!

Hi there lastbox, can I just ask why you had a scan at 8 weeks. My first one was at 12 and I thought that was standard for most pgs?

Hi Love - my first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks (fetus measured 7). Our local EPU advised me to come in for a reassurance/viability scan when I next became pregnant.

Where I'm from, I've been told I'll have a scan at 8 weeks and one at 20. I will question that though.
