I have had contact with my friends son this week and he has been diagnosed with shingles. I am 11 weeks prgt and phoned the Dr for advice and have been given an app for later this afternoon. (apps ae like hen's teeth at our surgery especially when I phoned at 2pm...)

Should I worry?

You can't catch shingles from someone with shingles but there is a small chance you can catch chicken pox if you are not immune. if you've had cp then you ahve nothing to worry about.

yep, had it at 21. I just phoned for advice and they want to see me. I'm sure that's all they'll say too!

dh was diagnosed with shingles when i was 40 weeks pregnant! I was v v scared he wouldn't be able to be at the birth or hold dd, but doctor said as long as I had had chicken pox (I had) there wasn't a problem and that dd would have residual immunity from me. You should be fine

I had shingles at about 25weeks pregnant with dd1 and all was fine.
