Am just over 10 weeks. Have scan booked in for 29 Dec including a nunchal (?) test.

Also been contacted by a different hospital (we asked to go to Kings for our scan) for a booking in appointment. What happens here? I think I have to choose what kind of tests I want but which tests as "usual"?

Also when do I see the midwife. When we first saw our doctor she said the midwive was in the doctors every Wednesday so do I just turn up? What happens when I see the midwive?

I love ths santas!

Hi, I don't have this system where I live, i have my booking in appointment with the midwife at about 8/9 weeks who refer me for a scan and then wait for the letter and have it about 12 weeks. I have to sign something to say i want the nuchual (think spelt it wrong) where they do the the chances of it like 1 in how ever many. Apart from that I think they just check the size etc of the baby. Why dont you ring your midwife and ask as maybe there has just been a mix up with the hospitals

i love the santas to!

our system is booking in app about 10 wks with mw but it is in hospital - all other appoinments are at doc surgery so maybe same for you? mw refers for scan although mine did this before booking in app just to get it booked especially over xmas

at booking in app mw took family and medical history, where do you want baby, bloods for type and poss infection, general info bout pg and arranged next appointments - she should also give you leaflet about other screening tests so you can make informed choice about what you want
