beware of shopping with blooming marvelous

For all mums and mums to be on a budget beware of shopping online with blooming marvelous.

I live v.rural so often shop online. I've ordered from bm a few months ago so when they ran a slae recently i ordered items without reading all their terms and conditions. It clearly said that p&p is £4.95 which i didn't mind as it was sale items and there aren't any maternity shops nearby.

When the goods arrived 2 items weren't suitable so i went to p.office only to be told that i had to pay again to return items. I called bm to ask if a courier could collect them but was told that it would cost £5. This was a shock as i have previously returned an item to them without being charged.

I have returned all items even though it will cost me as i feel their service is bad, and i will no longer shop with them.

If you read the very very small print after pages and pages then it does say that returns arn't free. But because i hadn't been charged before i continued to shop with them. Although they haven't lied i feel like i've been taken for a ride, and i think that the charges are quite high. Next charge £3.75 with free returns and you get a catalogue.

So please read carefully before shopping online. In future i will phone any companies i deal with and actually ask them their policy.

i think if you have been able to return things for free before you are right to feel disgruntled. in this economic climate, you would think companies would want to keep customers happy and would waive a return fee if it had not been charged previously

however, i would have thought it is not that unusual to pay to return stuff.. i have had to pay to return stuff to ASOS, but just the price of a second class parcel, so not more than a couple of quid.

i guess if you don;t read T&C before placing an order then it is caveat emptor. but i would have thought most companies would like to help their loyal customers

I think you did well to get free returns the first time!

I thought most companies ask you pay postage for returns.
