Risks Pregnancy and working

I know employers are supposed to carry out risk assesments during pregnancy but it would really help to know of others experiences.

In my job I am often out and about walking around on my own. I visit various premises throughout a working day including building sites, buisnesses and peoples homes (cant give to much more info for fear of revealing my secret identity lol). I have been told that I am no longer able to climb scaffolding and ladders for obvious reasons. Any info about how long it is appropriate for me to be doing this stuff for and other peoples experiences would be welcome.

In my line of work we just get a bigger hideous frock to wear and ive not heard of any risk assessments being done ,it is quite a physical job though and as you progress with pregnancy you tend to work out on your own how much you are capable of . Cant honestly say i thought much about it when i was pregnant ,i just sort of got on with it

I think the HSE has a booklet online that tells you all you need to know about the law relating to this, and it is the law that they carry out a risk assessment, not just a suggestion.

Thanks for your help ladies.

So is the general consensus just get on with it until you cant carry on anymore and worry only when that happens or to try and plan in advance a way of scalling down the work as months go on?
