dd has suspected chicken pox. I have had it before but not very badly. Im going to make appointment with doctor tomorrow but wondered if anyone had any advice/ experience. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and worrying......

If you have had it before, no matter how mildly, then the likelihood is that you are immune.

The dangerous times for contact with chicken pox in pregnancy are the first trimester and the last couple of weeks - you are at least past the initial danger time.

Did you not have blood tests to check for immunity with your booking bloods?

No booking blood test but will ask for an immunity test. I want to look after dd but do you think I should try to get someone else to - not very easy and maybe too late??

Too late, I would think - she will have been infectious for some while before the spots came out.

The chances are that you will be fine; having had it, it is pretty likely that you will be immune. Do see the GP tomorrow though, to put your mind at rest.
