I feel a bit daft posting on here, as I know really what the advice will be...But,I just slipped on a very slippery wooden path (and hit poor DS's head as we landed, but he is fine thank god). I literally did the splits and was in agony, barely able to get to the car.

Anyway, I have a physio appointment tomorrow for SPD, and now I am really scared I have done some proper damage to my already sore pelvis. I am in less pain now, and can kind of hobble about, I don't want to go being all dramatic and calling midwives if it is going to get better. And besides, what are they going to be able to do anyway? Should I phone, or just sit tight and wait for physio tomorrow? Sorry for being a bit of a limp squid

You poor thing, that sounds awful. Perhaps the midwife can reassure you about painkillers that are safe to take if nothing else. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I'd phone just to make sure. They will decide whether to see you or to wait until tomorrow.

i'm 27 wks too and if i'd just done the splits (ouch!) i'd need some reassurance...you will be fine i'm sure but at least something is noted

I got knocked off my bike at 18 weeks last pg, phoned the midwifes, and explained the situation, they asked a couple of questions, (no bleeding, abdominal pain etc etc) then said "it sounds like you're fine but under the circumstances if you'd feel better coming in for a check up and listening to the heartbeat on the doppler that's what we're here for" - they won't think you're being over dramamatic, and it was amazing how hearing the heartbeat did calm me down

I fell out of my back door at 30 weeks, wasn't hurt but DH thought it a good idea to get me checked out - ended up being monitored and kept in hospital for 24 hours! Even though nothing was wrong and I was fine, a lot of mw/ hosp will err on the side of caution.
