AF should have come a calling

I've been a lurker since we've started TTC for the first time, but have come out because I need an opinion from you v wise ladies!

I was expecting AF 5 days ago, but so far not a hint of her. I haven't taken a test because common sense says I should wait until I'm a week late before I do .

But, I had my mirena taken out on 5th August and had to wait until 25 August for AF to visit. She's been perfectly regular at a 28 day interval until last month when my cycle was only 24 days. This month she is very late. I'm on day 34 and am unusually tired, weeing for Britain and just a little bit tender around the norks.

We've done very, very little BD and what we did was very careful because we decided to have a boozy Christmas this year.

What do you reckon? Normal dodgy cycle post mirena or prepare myself for a BFP?

Oh yes, I'm 39 BTW.

Did you have a bleed when the mirena came out? Not sure how long it takes to go back to normal cycle....

No I didn't - nothing at all until 20 days afterwards. It's been pretty much like clockwork since though!

Why are you waiting a week to test? Test now!

No advice, but I am in the same boat! I was thinking of posting somewhere but your thread caught my eye. I was due around Wed-Fri last week. Putting my head in the sand somewhat! Not really had any symptoms except weeing a lot I think but could be my imagination.

And I am 43!

It is all very odd.

I took a test at 6 days overdue and it showed a BFN. I've had a very, very light bleed which started 11 days after it should have. I am really confused - my last 2 periods have been whoppers and now, nothing much at all!

Eulalia - how about you? Any news? All is crossed for you!

It is possible that your hormone levels weren't yet up enough to trigger the blue line daisy. Give it a few days and then try again?

Almost forgot to update.... tested positive last week. Am now 6 1/2 weeks. hope you get some news soon daisydotandgertie.

I've not tested again but had have had rotten lower back ache and buckets of discharge and am crying at the drop of a hat and am still weeing for Britain. It's making me wonder.

I wonder whether another test is in order!

Test again Daisy. It could have been an implant bleed.

The peeing and everything else is a good sign.
