Weight loss in the 3rd trimester, is this normal?

I am nearly 31 weeks and about a fortnight ago was placed on bedrest for spd, I'm ticking along though.

I weighed myself around then and had gained 1stone 4lb. Fair enough, I'm happy with that.

I weighed myself today as Dh commented my legs looked a little thin going into the bath, I've lost 3lb!

Should I be concerned about this? How can I have lot weight whilst being on bedrest fgs?

I do vaguely remember in my last pg losing about 6lb in the final trimester and the m/w sent me for a growth scan, but everything was fine and baby born a healthy 7:11 on time.

What do you think?

Could it be that you have muscle wastage.... muscle weighs more than fat?

Hadn't thought of that, that's a good point brettgirl. Maybe.
