21 weeks and baby has gone very quiet

The reason I'm worried is that this baby is usually extremely active - day and night. Far more so than my other two babies were. Although I'm only 21 weeks I have been able to feel movement from about 13 weeks and now I am used to reasonably strong kicks.

I feel guilty because last night I was lying on my tummy and I'm worried it did something bad (but it felt fine for me...)

I am waiting to hear back from the midwife's station. How worried would you be?

Please don't worry that you did something by lying on your tummy - that would not happen. I worried about this throughout my pregnancy but all was ok. It might be that the baby is in a position where you can't feel movement or facing the placenta and the kicks are being muffled. However you do right to get it checked as they always say that any changes in movement patterns need to be checked.

Thanks mrsboogie - it is ok, they found the heart beat with a sonic aid The midwife was having to really chase it so it must be moving a lot as usual but perhaps it is facing the other way.
