Am 11 weeks today with dc2 and could swear I've felt movement already - sort of butterfly feelings and some pops. Is this actually possible or is it wind?!

I have heard its possible with 2nd pregnancies but havent had experience YET!
I will be 11 weeks tomorrow so will keep you posted. Although i havent felt any movement i am very bloated and already in maternity trousers. I cant wait to tell people, mainly so i can stop breathing in!!!

Good luck with your pregnancy

I thought I could feel slight movements with my second baby at about 11 weeks too. Just occasionally, never massive movements. I reckon it's because you know what you're feeling, first time round I just put it down to gas. Mine settled down at about 15 weeks, now at 20 weeks I'm getting the proper movements again.
Hope all goes well with you.

littleboyblue · 05/12/2008 09:36

I was about 15 weks I think

singyswife · 05/12/2008 09:38

I was about 10.5 weeks (not trying to go one better than anyone else honest).

minko · 05/12/2008 11:31

Was about 18 weeks with first DC, but you recognise the fluttery feeling the second time a lot sooner.

ginnny · 05/12/2008 12:01

I'm not sure exactly when (he's 5 now) but it was definitely a lot earlier than ds1 and everyone was telling me it must be wind. Also I started showing at about 8 weeks as everyone guessed before I officially announced it!
Oooh good luck - am so , I really miss the baby days.

FDTLuckyMumma · 05/12/2008 12:52

I remember thinking that I thought i could feel second move at around 11 weeks but thouht I must be imagining it, maybe not. Nothing after that 'till about 17 weeks.

Thanks everyone - glad to hear I'm not the only one! Just hanging on for 12 week scan now to check everything is ok.

Good luck to you too Lully - I am not far off maternity trousers (fortunately most of my normal ones have a bit of "breathing space") - am quite shocked by how much bigger I am at this stage than last time!

18 weeks with my 2nd. (22 weeks with my first).

My friend felt her first baby moved at 14 weeks.

KT1983 · 05/12/2008 13:36

Im pregnant with my first baby & Im certain I felt her at 15weeks - Just little flutters every now & again.
I remember lying in bed one day & getting a kick in the side, I laughed out loud - this was a couple of weeks after.

2cats2many · 05/12/2008 13:38

about 14 weeks. It ws a huge kick- i almost jumped out of my seat.

abbymeg · 05/12/2008 18:20

11 weeks - butterfly feelings like you describe when I was in the bath. The kicks started at about 15 weeks.

TheNewsMongersGeansaiNollag · 05/12/2008 18:26

I felt a flutter at about 13 wks with dc2.

Madigan · 05/12/2008 18:27

about 18 weeks - proper kicks! did not get the same earlier butterfly movements with no 2. I wonder why not?

katiepotatie · 05/12/2008 20:50

22 weeks with first dd, think I've just felt movement this evening(20 weeks)although it could be wind! had 20 week scan today it was moving loads but couldn't feel it??

MrsMcJnr · 05/12/2008 21:17
