June 2009 first-time expectant mums

Hi,

I am not good at these chat things and got a little overwhelmed reading the ones with 4,000 posts and threads. Sigh.

Basically I am a 32 year-old, married American woman living in Marylebone, expecting my first child in June 2009 (fingers crossed) at Great Portland Hospital. I guess you could also say I am a temporarily recovering lawyer.

I would love to meet other expectant mums nearby, and crave all other advice anyone wants to give as I am doing this far away from family in the states.

I am also first time expectant mother with the due date in June 2009. I live around 40 mins from London, however I am glad to share my experiences. Similarly to you,I am here with my DH only as our family lives in a different country. But I have a cousin here who has one year old baby girl so at least they can help us if we need that.
Iam 30 year-old and 14 wks now. I also feel overwhelmed with all those posts especally all the horror stories, but each pg is different so I try not to worry too much. I am now at the stage of buying maternity clothes especially for work to fit my rapidly growing bump. I hope to find some this weekend.

39 year old married Scottish art librarian with due date of 27 June (1 week after my 40th birthday!) - slightly paranoid as just about to hit 11 weeks after 7 years of trying and 4 early miscarriages. Sorry, yalegoldie, no horror stories! Lived in New York for 6 years in late 90's and work near Marylebone if you want a chat - but you'll be the one with advice being 3 weeks ahead of me! {fwink]
