Can any one suggest a good feeding pillow?

Hi everyone

I've just signed up to mumsnet and thought i would use the talk pages.
I'm 8 months pregnant and I wondered if anyone can reccomend a good feeding pillow as there are so many out there and I want one that will help me through my pregnancy (bad back!) and obviously when the baby is born.

Any suggestions greatly received.

It can be used as a back suport when your pregnant, its great for feeding and getting a good and comfortable position for you and your baby. But what stands it out from the rest of the feeding pillows out there is that it lasts your child for years to come as it helps them when they are learning to sit up unaided, promotes tummy time, is a great comfort toy and is fab in the car as a head rest or just a normal pillow.

My husband loves it too for relaxing his head on when reading the papers! everyone is a winner and its great value for money

I have heard the 'My Breast Friend' pillow is supposed to be good, despite the cheesy name!! I am looking for one too though so will be watching out for any recommendations!

do not waste your money till the baby is born

get a specific back/neck/bump support/whatever pillow that will help you now and worry about the other later

I discovered I didn't need a pillow at all to help me feed dd, though I did like a cheapy ARgos v-shaped one to lean on when feeding sitting up in bed

NB louise you are not selling these are you? It's just my dd is only a couple of weeks older than yours and there's no way she'd be up for testing nursing pillows...

I had the Big V maternity pillow from John Lewis here which was fab during pregnancy and then really good for feeding. DH thought it was like a bolster cushion down the bed for a while but it was fab to have one long enough to cuddle, tuck under my bump, and put between my knees! Very soft and comfy.

i have used a few, and my fave is a kind of beanbag type one because it supports baby really well.

the regular v-shaped pillows were not fat enough or supportive enough I found. you might as well just use a regular pillow.

i got one at an NCT sale for about £3
