Bleeding at 12 weeks

Hoping some of you have some experience of this. Not for me but for my friend. Since last night she's had mild pain and bleeding like a light period. Her mw isn't being very helpful and epu can't scan her until tomorrow afternoon. Be honest, does this look grim or have any of you experienced this and everything's been ok? Thanks in advance.

Not necessarily. I had some light bleeding with my DS at 12 weeks which went on for another 2/ 3 weeks. She just needs to monitor the bleeding, hopefully it remains light but the scan will tell her if things are alright. Good luck to your friend.

I am 11 weeks along and right now i am going through the same thing. i have had bleeding since 11/28 the last two days it has gotten a little heavier when i was more active. some people say that it is implatation bleeding. i was told to have lots of pelvic rest and to drink plenty of fluids. my original doctor wouldn't see me till dec. 18th. so i found a new on and get a scan on friday. i will let you know how things turn out.

Just an update. My friend's bleeding got much worse in the night and they had a scan this morning. Unfortunately she's lost the baby. I know it's ridiculous but i can't stop crying, i am 5 weeks ahead of her and i feel so guilty about my pregnancy now. My baby will be a constant reminder of the baby she's lost. Sorry to be so doom and gloom. Mamaof3, i hope everything is okay for you. Please let us know how you get on tomorrow.

I am so sorry mamakim. Its not ridiculous you are bound to be upset. I have been in both situations. I mc at 12 weeks and my best friend was 14 weeks, it was very hard to see her but we still remained close and she supported me alot. Then with ds1 a different friend had a still born at 6 months when I was 19 weeks pregnant. I was so upset for her and couldnt stop crying. I felt very guilty about my pregnancy. I think the best advice is to let her lead the relationship now. Make sure she knows you are there for her but dont be offended if she needs some space away from you either now or in the future perhaps when you give birth. My mc was many years ago but I still get a lump in my throat when my friends little girl has a birthday, although my friend doesnt know.
Mamaof3, Hope everything ok. You really never know with bleeing. I have had 3 mcs, but one of them I didnt bleed at all and didnt know anything was wrong till my scan. I have since had two sons, I bleed on and off most of the way through both the pregnancies, sometimes just spotting and other times quite heavy and both of them were fine. So you can never really tell. I hope friday comes around fast for you, its stressful waiting. I hope all is ok.
