Had my 20 week scan yesterday at exactly 20 weeks. Told the Dr? doing the scan that I was feeling the baby kick quite often now and he said oh that won't be kicking, just your uterus contracting. Feels like kicking to me (though 1st so how can I tell) and from all I've read it's normal to feel movement at 20weeks so is it kicking I'm feeling here??

What a load of tosh! I am 20 weeks and have been receiving regular kicks and thumps for about four weeks now (2nd pregnancy so I know what it feels like). Enjoy it

SnowOfHands · 03/12/2008 13:04

I'm sure he's drawing on years of experience of having a uterus.

I've been having constant kicking since 17 weeks at least, 3rd baby so I definitely know what to feel for!

Thank you all. Can enjoy the kicking again now and will try and stop saying "it is bloody kicking" to dp at random intervals. Actually I hadn't realised how much it had upset me 'till now when I'm all relieved you're agreeing with me.
