hi all,
I am 11 weeks and currently living abroad (with husbands work) till the end of January ( so will be continuing care in UK after Jan 09)
I am new to all this and would like to know what "standard" tests and scans people have between 12 weeks to about 20 weeks? to make sure i am not missing anything vital. I am 32 - does everyone have a nuchal scan as routine?
Would like to compare to midlands area if poss.
thanks so much

My understanding is that a nuchal is optional. I am not having one since we can't afford it. My GP told me that I would be having some blood tests at 15 weeks which will give an indication as to whether the baby has Down's Syndrome.

Oh, and don't forget the 12-week dating scan!

I am only 9 weeks though so hopefully someone who has been through it can answer.

Hi, my 9wk old dd2 was born in Staffordshire.

I had a dating scan at 12wks along with booking-in blood tests and an anomaly scan at 20wks. The nuchal scan is not offered but you can go private (clinic in Solihull) for around £150.

Also offered the triple blood test at 16wks for Downs, Edwards etc.

Good luck
