Including stuff that was a waste of money!

For me;

baby bath - have no idea why I never realised the sink would suffice!

baby weaning faff equipment - steriliser, plastic bowels and spoons.

Oh yes - those revolting nappy bins. Actually will try to stick to cloth (last time I had a baby I also had a toddler in nappies)

Second baby - didn't buy:

Loads of newborn / 0-3 month clothes (they grow out of them so fast!), especially cute little outfits (just bought a 12-pack of cheap white babygrows from Tesco)

Nappy bin

Baby bath (bought the baby bath support that goes in the bath for a tenner)

Nursery furniture of any description (tiny little wardrobes for twice the price of a normal sized one? no thanks!)

Expensive travel system (bought 2nd hand pram, then switched to McClaren £60 jobby down the line)

Anything gimmicky - vibrating bouncer chairs, door bouncers etc

festivedollyx · 02/12/2008 10:00

With on all of above!

I wont be forking out £500 + on an all singing dancing pram to end up with a buggy in the end!!

Nor will i get another changing unit, moses basket, cradle etc.. straight to cot this time.

no loads of clothes that will be unworn!!

Or bouncer&swing, baby nest etc (had all of these )

mrsboogie · 02/12/2008 10:10

ohh agree with most of the above but we use the bouncy chair all the time - he loves it!

electra · 02/12/2008 10:40

Yes agree about £500 pram lol! Crikey the first time around we bought a changing unit from M&P - it was indeed a waste of money and broke. I don't know why I wasn't content to just do it on the floor...
