I am 32+4 with no3 and have been told the baby is engaged...do I need to worry? Could this be a Xmas baby rather than a Jan baby?! I thought subsequent pregnancies didn't usually engage until labour...

Hello,
I saw midwife last week at 33 weeks and she said I was starting to engage but she told me that with subsequent babies (this is my 2nd) the head can pop in and out of the pelvis so you may go to next midwife appointment and find the head is free and floating again.
I know how you feel though, I am worried its going to come early. Seeing mw tomorrow so will find out if head has popped out or not.

DS (2nd baby) engaged at 32 weeks and damn well stayed there until he made an appearance 3 days before his due date. I was NOT best pleased as the 'walking as though there is a bowling ball between your legs' look is NOT a good one!!

Not sure if I want head to pop out or not...had unstable lie with no2 so staying put would be helpful and a lot less painful I'm guessing! have had a series of very strong contractions today but all calmed down now. I wish pregnancy was less of a guessing game...
