Hot showers?

I know you're not meant to have hot baths in pregnancy especially in the first trimester, but does the same apply to showers, or is it different as you're not immersed in it? Am 14+3 now and sometimes I think I'm maybe having the temp a bit higher as it's so cold, and can't find much about it through Googling.

xx

I have hot, steamy showers daily and am now 20wks; I even had the odd bath early on before I realised this was even an issue.

The problems lie in sustained raising of your core body temperature...and unless you're boiling yourself for hours at a time, showers should be fine. If you find your skin going red or your sweating when you dry off...probably best trun down the tempa alittle...but otherwise you should be ok.

never heard this to be a problem-i always have the shower good and hot as i can't stand a lukewarm shower
am 24 weeks now and have been showering as normal from the start

Cheers! I will try to stop worrying. xx
