I recently had flu like symptoms and this had developed into flu now and asthma is getting bad. I am 35 weeks and wondered if anyone else has gone through this. I have not had the fdlu jab.

Make sure you're taking your steroid (brown( inhaler, 2 puffs morning and night, as well as the blue one when you need it. My obstetric consultant told me this was important and is safe. Get new prescriptions asap if you've run out. The flu jab takes 2 weeks to kick in so it won't help straight away but is worth doing as it looks like we have a cold winter ahead. My asthma has also been particularly bad during pregnancy.

I'm only 17 1/2 weeks pregnant, and my asthma has got tons worse. I'm having to take my blue inhaler 3-4 times a day, because I'm getting completely out of breath and wheezy. When I went to docs, he didn't seem interested and said asthma either gets better or worse during pregnancy, and yours has obviously got worse. He didn't change my prescription, nothing. Just said, try not to take that blue inhaler too frequently...How can I not take it, when I'm wheezing like hell, and it's the only thing that will stop me having an asthma attack.
