Ooohh good Q i'd like to know this
i'm 20 weeks with my third pg and haven't changed much yet.

Yes it does!

However!

DC1 left hospital in my size 10 jeans a few hours after giving birth

DC2 left in my size 12s a few hours after giving borth

DC3 prepared to leave in my early maternity jeans but my god my stomach looked awful. I was so shocked and really thought I would never get back to shape.

Strangely enough I have returned to a better shape after DC3 than I was pre-pregnancy (i.e after DC2), not sure why - certainly haven't had the time to work out. I did watch what I ate after DC3 whereas with DC2 I quite happily munched through a pack of chockie digestives because I though BF would help me lose the weight. I has taken less time for my body to recover this time, DC3 was my biggest baby by far (8lb 2 whereas DD2 was 6lb 14oz).

After DC 4 it's taken sooo much longer than the others. I think the first two were quite easy to recover from and also my babies got bigger each time - DC4 was 9lb 14.
I don't think the pregnancy was any worse/better though.

Since it never recovered from dc1, have my doubts that it's going to start now after dc3!

Still wearing pregnancy jeans at 4 weeks post DC3

But, I'm lighter than I was before I got pregnant and more seems to be coming off slowly.

I've had a split abdominal muscle though which is quite severe so I look a lot flabbier than I actually am.

I recovered more quickly after DC3 as I had a vaginal delivery with a small episiotomy, but with DC1 I had an emCS after a lengthy labour, and with DC2 I had an elCS, but an infected scar meant a long and painful recovery.

I think it still bounced back pretty well tbh but the pregnancy itself was definately more of a slog - my ligaments were totally crap and all but gave up on me! Also I had a pph with dd3's birth and I think that was to do with the uterus being more stretched etc.

thanks for the answers! big bad mouse you give me hope....sounds similar to my situation, i am one week after dd3 and waiting to see what happens, but for now feeling quite down with what's left of me compared to what i looked like after dd1 and 2...
