Has anyone ever tested when af was due for it to be BFN when really you were with bean??

has anyone ever had a negative hpt when their AF was due but later found out they were pregnant??

wishfull thinking on my part

A friend at playgroup insists she tested negative when her AF was due. Then a week later it was positive. just wondered if this could happen? Or has it only happened to her?
does anyone know why this would happen??

I got negative tests until I was three days overdue and I was actually pregnant with twins! No idea why I didn't get a postive test till then (would have thought the hormone levels would be quite high?), I got a postive test before AF was due with my single baby.

My 2nd pregnancy didnt show a line until i was 3 days late,even then it was faint.I had blood tests which showed my hcg levels wern't rising as they should b.But my baby was absolutely fine.

I didn't get a BFP until I was a week late - however I was so dispirited by the negative test the day AF was due I didn't try again in between, I probably would have got something a few days late.
