Have finally succumbed to one of the myriad of bugs around at the moment. Nose streaming one minute and bunged up next. Living on orange juice mixed with hot water but any ideas? 12+6 weeks pregnant with twins and have a lively 2 year old to run around after, so want to nip this in the bud fast!

You can only take paracetamol, I think, but it works well on headaches, sore throats and general aches and pains.

What about steam and some karvol or vicks or olbas oil to decongest you?

Make drinks with the juice of a lemon, a teaspoon or more of honey and some peeled ginger. I found they were surprisingly good.

If you dont mind it, make yourself a salad of onion (red), tomato with lashings of crushed garlic in olive oil.

Shitake and oyster muchrooms are antiviral so you could make a soup of these with garlic.
