Is it safe to decorate the baby's room based on what you were told at 20 week scan? We were told girl and I think I would like to do a nepolitan theme of brown, pink and cream.....

Is it better to wait until after the birth to be sure? Don't know if we'll have time for painting once lo gets here though

I have been told several times of very clstly mistakes. In one case, the family had re-carpeted the room pink, painted murals in shades of pink on the walls, pink trimmed white furniture and a pink theme based on the 20 week scan which told them they were having a girl. Their son put in an appeaance 20 weeks after that scan.
Would you vary the theme with chocolate, cream and blue? that way you could do the brown and cream bits, leaing just the third colour to complete when baby arrives?

I've heard stories of them being wrong (although no-one I know directly, all friend of a friend type stories)

But if it is a boy it wont care if its room has pink in it when its that wee - unless it would really bother you?

You could add the pink bits with accesories or stipes that can be quickly painted cream or blue?

i twice did my nursery based on what they told me at 20 scan, but i was having boy's both times and it ws bloody obvious, even to me.like whats been already said, i'd go with the creams and browns and add the pinks when she is here. my nursery was never used until bubba's were about 6 months old
