Weirdest dream competition... let's hear 'em, ladies!

Right - I'll go first...

So far, in this pregnancy (my first) I've had the most bizarre dreams - including the following -

Delivering a FIFTY pound baby girl vaginally - ouch!

Jeremy Clarkson stealing my baby - with Richard Hammond and a Handycam filming the whole thing

James May flirting with my hugely pregnant bump while I'm driving a Routemaster bus ( I seem to have a Top Gear fetish going on at the moment, don't I??)

A threesome with DH and a very large female stranger? WTF???

A full-on, physical, fisticuffs fight including headbutting, punching, biting - the works - with a pirate who had kidnapped my sister (I woke up exhausted!)

Do I win the prize for the most interesting dreams?? Do I?? tee hee...

i had dreams of my first daughter being born with no feet. she has feet ,but strangely wouldnt keep her shoes and socks on. YOU WIN!!!!

I had a dream the other night that it was a really stormy night and the tree outside my window was waving madly in the wind. I was lying in bed and as I woke up (in the dream still) the tree reached through the window and pulled me off the bed.

Does it get much weirder than that?

um - I had a dream where I was running away from my boss, who was trying to steal my baby, which I had hidden in a sports bag. I remember going to the airport trying to skip the country and being chased on busses and trains. Very weird - any dream interpreters around??

very odd dreams whilst preg with DD! The one I can still remember clearly was that I was working in a school, then we all had to hide because a tornado was coming (I lived in Gloucestershire at that point!) and then after the tornado came I had to round up all the children and get them to safety and then fight Hitler single handed - I won!!

I once dreamed that Homer Simpson was giving Robert Mugabe a blow job in a dried up lake

Then I woke up and said to DP, "I had really wierd dreams all night and I didn't even eat cheese before bed".

He then reminded me that a) I'd had a pizza the night before, and b) I had left the radio on World Service all night so the global news had infiltrated my dreams

I dreamed I gave birth to 13 babies, and I'd only a name for one of them, so the other 12 were clamouring "what's my name mummy?"

The other day I dreamt that my garden had been swallowed up and replaced by a beautiful meadow with half pig/half human creatures galloping in the fields. I then went into the kitchen and snogged the face off James McAvoy.

I also had a wierd one where my friend had turned into a bar of soap with arms and legs and I accidently dropped her down the toilet.

I had a dream I was breastfeeding a weasel

I had a seriously disturbing dream quite early on in my pregnancy (now 18 weeks - was about 10 weeks when had dream). I dreamt that I was accused of a crime I hadn't committed and was on death row in America. I was convinced that justice would prevail, especially as they knew I was pregnant, but then I spoke to my lawyer and asked him if I was going to die tomorrow and he said yes! It was the most terrifying and helpless thing and I couldn't protect my baby

Also had a weird dream a couple of weeks later that was kind of sci fi and involved a huge triangular alien who killed a load of people except one little boy (my son I think?!) who managed to escape...

I've never had such weird dreams, but apparently dreaming about death is quite common when you have a new life inside you?!

I had a baby that I kept inside a kinder egg in the fridge. Eventually it grew bigger and bigger then slowly turned into a kitten. After a while, I gave into the inevitable, and provided it with a catflap. At which point my mother had a screaming fit at me about my appalling lack of care of my baby. I sat there going 'But, looks, its a cat. It's got catty paws and catty whiskers..."

Cant rem contents of dreams at the mo but i keep having orgasms in my sleep, which i know sounds fab! but it's bloody annoying as it wakes me up and i then need to get up and use the loo!

I've had too many to mention and they're all muddled, but I had a really distressing stressful dream - nothing to do with sex - and woke up having an orgasm, and the next day another distressing dream and woke up really crying.

I'm only 10 weeks and can't take much more weirdness!

I started off having nice dreams but recently they've turned quite scary and weird. I agree with bicnod in that I too have never had such frightening and vivid dreams.

In the same fashion as the 'SAW' movies if you know what I mean. I had to do a series of gruesume tasks in order to be allowed to live, which stared off with hurting someone else and became more and more bizarre, untill the final task was to allow a great big baboon to rest his testicals on my forehead for ten minutes And the worse bit is that was the most terrifiying part of the dream

I also dreamt that I asked the midwife what sex my baby was, and the next minute she was forcing me to have an induction (I'm only 18 weeks) so that she could tell me, and I was screaming at her that I didn't want to know that bad but she wouldn't listen. I saw my baby (a girl) and then some how she was back inside me again and everything was fine.

And has anybody else noticed that in every dream they have, they are aware they're pregnant in it, even if the dream has nothing to do with pregnancy or babies?

I dreamt that Kevin Spacey lived in our basement (which we don't have!) and kept creepy little kids with glass eyes whom I rescued but they still creeped me out. When I finally saw Kevin Spacey, he had one eye and my husband woke me up as I was shouting something about one eye davey!!!

This was the most vivid, but I have been having seriously silly dreams.

Also dreamt this very large lady was trying to push the baby out of my tummy. She was very butch and new my husband in my dream, so it was all his fault when I woke up...

I dreamt I gave birth to a kitten. I didn't know what to feed it but after a couple of days sent someone out to buy some Whiskas kitten food.

I dreamed just last week that I had gone into labour but didn't want to leave for the hospital yet as I was waiting for my birth partner to arrive.

My birth partner was Alan Carr. I knew he wasn't the father but for some reason, yep, he was supposed to be holding my hand lol...

When I was pregnant with ds1, I dreamed that I was trying to breastfeed the cat - who wasn't cooperating at ALL!!

I've dreamed about Jeremy Clarkson too - he was at ds3's school, in the dining hall, and had bought a big slice of cake - we were sitting together on the vaulting horse and he was sharing the cake with me.

I have a lot of travelling dreams, where no matter how far I go, or how many doors I go through, I don't get to where I'm going - usually a plane, but sometimes a train. Once I made it to the foot of the steps of the plane, and the stewardess was waiting for me at the top, but each step was taller than me so I couldn't get up them.

I have plenty of others - my husband gets a resigned look on his face now when I tell him that I had a really strange dream!

At least you didn't wake your DP up screaming and crying "get your filthy balls off my forehead!!!" DP asked me the next day who the bloke was I'd been dreaming about,he looked more than a little when i explained it wasn't a sex dream about any bloke, but was a nightmare about a baboon! I didn't realise I'd said anything but DP assured me I had.

These dreams are brilliant!! I thought it was just me with the freakiness, but apparently not!

SatHereSitting - you're absolutely right - in every one of my strange dreams I have been very pregnant, even though it's sometimes unrelated to the dream itself! How bizarre!

I think I'll eat some cheese before a nap this afternoon... it could bring some new stories to post...

when i was pg, had a really imo scary dream about christiano ronaldo. he was the father of my unborn child, we met in a supermarket after i beat up one of his friends, and whenever we had sex, i wasn't pg, but was after and seemed to get bigger each time i was ready to burst in my dreams after a few weeks!
i say this is scary as i find ronaldo one of the most unattractive men i have ever seen and he looks like a camel imo.

dd was born in an alien style way, straight out of my chest
i was a boxer and kicked lennox lewis' ass (as i woke up i got dp with a lovely left hook lol)
my baby grew up faster than me, and i ended up at her funeral, she was 80-something and i was 30??

Great thread! I have had so many strange dreams both in this preg and last.

A lot of them have been sexual in nature but a few have been really upsetting and related to the baby and the birth...mostly ending in tragedy and with me sobbing very loudly - My hub had to wake me up from these ones and I lay in bed sniffling for ages after waking up.

When I was preg with dd, I dreamt that I gave birth to a gorgeous black baby (not sure of sex) and my hub was denying that this child was his and my family were all funny with me because they said I had cheated on hub (although I hadn't and the baby really was his)... I tried to hide the baby as everyone was rejecting it but then I decided to run away with the baby as they were all being so silly about the skin colour... This dream stayed with me as it was so odd and I never managed to interpret it lol

haha - these dreams r funny - good to see them here i thought i was losing it with my dreams... most recent one being that i went for my 12wk scan and the picture they gave me to keep from the scan had a huge baby size of a chubby 2yr old boy as white as snow with orange-red curly locks (me and husband are of asian origin)
also lots of weird sexual dreams...
