Is your nose blocked? Sometimes a hot bath or shower, or one of those masks, heated up, will help with that.

I would have a chat with your GP if this doesn't clear up in a day or two.

hi this happened to me at this exact stage no matter what I drank I could not quench the thirst. Keep drinking the water it will pass - remeber your body is making lots of extra fluid.

I mentioned it to my doctor and he said that if it continued they might do a glucose tolerance test but it went after 2/3 days and never came back.

i found fizzy water really helped

I'd be a bit worried this was diabetes, tbh. I would ask if you are tired, but you're 9 weeks pregnant and you've been up all night, so we know the answer already!

Are you at risk of diabetes?

You're probably ok, then. Not old, not a high incidence of type 2 diabetes in your immediate family?

It's probably just one of those pregnancy things.

I had this and at one point was drinking two to three litres a day - I found ice cold water quenched thirst more (put a small bottle in freezer to chill, keep rotating with diff bottles) and it DOES ease. you need to check about diabetes, if you are not due to see midwife soon I would ring or see GP just to check. The upside of all the water is that your skin and hair will look great!! (I am 29 weeks now and still have about 2 litres out of habit - can't be bad for you!)PS can't tolerate fizzy tho used to drink it all the time.

i am 9wks preg an have been excessively thirty with dry mouth and cracking lips - waking in the night to drink and ofcourse to pee lots...i have days an points in the day where it is worse than others.... i think its normal in earlier pregnancy but if it continues then prob need to think bout gestational diabetes

oh god i'd forgotten about this but actually during my first trimester I was thirsty the whole time and drinking 2-3ltr water a day. Just couldn't quench that thirst.

Yes I spent a lot of time on the toilet.
