Yes, I did for DS2. Found it great for night-time breastfeeds as I didn't have to stir out of bed. However, DS2 did develop a taste for co-sleeping. Not sure if that was because of the cot or whether he'd have done it anyway.

They're brilliant. I always found the bedside cot a half way house between co-sleeping and getting up to feed (I've done both). For a while I sat up to feed but always put DS back into his cot when he went off back to sleep.

If you're BF, definitely definitely worth it (it sucks getting out of bed to feed) Just have your cushions or whatever close by, and you're sorted. (I had a big squishy one the went along the foot of the bed when not in use)

Brillian Brilliant invention!! Not only can you lie in bed right beside your baby and keep them safe. You don't have to get out of bed to bring them into yours for a feed. And you can wake in the night and stare at your baby as they sleep.

We had our beside cot (and baby of course)in our room for over a year. Expecting number two now and it will be out again!!!

Do It! Do It!

we were given a normal cot but we took the side off and did some fiddling to turn it into a bedside one

word of caution - we had one which became a glorified bedside table, dd1 never actually slept in it, couldn't shift her over once she was asleep, she needed to be right next to me to sleep. but she was a dreadful sleeper altogether and i wouldn't let that put you off. we found an amby-type hammock much the better option with dd2.

WE used a normal one with the side off.
