I am 38 weeks pg today and am feeling really rotten. I dont think I have a temperature, but am shivery and very very achey. I have no appetite and some diarrhea. Should I worry about this - see my GP, I dont suppose theres anything they can do, and in fact had midwife appt yesterday and all was fine (bp, urine etc)? Or just sit it out and hope it passes before labour? Any advice please??

I would see your GP. There are bugs that could be passed to your baby during delivery, they should check for these if you are feeling unwell.

Thanks phantom. I in fact called the hospital midwives yesterday, who said if the baby was moving OK, just to get checked by the GP. So saw her late yesterday afternoon, she didnt seem very worried at all. And in fact I feel much, much better today. Managed to sleep well last night for the first time in about 12 weeks!! I still have a bit of a dull headache, but the chills have gone thank goodness. So shall assume all is OK, and can get on with enjoying the last week or so with my DD!

That's good. I'm so pleased you are feeling better.
