i've put on a stone so far and this pregnancy has been pretty sweet toothed...cue lots of baking gingerbread, pear and almond cake, chocolate muffins for breakfast, fairy cakes, brownies etc etc..my dh came downstairs this morning squeeking "aw ma gawd i've put on a stone!!!" does your partner come out in sympathy with you...mine has coped pretty well with no booze (its not banned i've just stopped buying it at the mo) and hes sleepy too like me and has taken to eating all my baked goodies (i suppose its rude not to)

Yup. Mine piles on the pounds when I'm pregnant. He loves it - all sorts of food I don't normally have in the house.

Oh man DH (aka greedy guts don't say I said so) loves it when I'm pregnant (7 weeks at the mo).

He does the shopping so I can rest and rolls home with cakes, doughnuts, curly wurlies, sausage rolls and a huge grin. i.e all the stuff that I never buy, and he normally gets a sharp look if he suggests it!!

My dp got stretch marks before I did during this pregnancy.. seriously! He's put quite a bit of weight on & I keep reminding him that once the baby's born I'll be banning all the nice chocolatey things from our cupboards so he'll have to go on a diet with me!

wideratthehips · 17/11/2008 20:58

exactly! dh usually puts on a sniffy voice and says what on earth is this..(mint vicounts, foam bananas, sugary doughnuts..stuff that i would never normally eat!) but i can garuantee he will be scoffing the lot later! i have to hide that sort of stuff from the children cause i don't want them eating it..

Once the childbearing is over DH and I are both doing some serious weight loss as we are a pair of heifers! Mind you the baby is attached to daddy's lovely pillow-like tum... it is quite snuggly...

katiepotatie · 19/11/2008 21:03

my dh had to tell me to stop buying him cakes when I got myself some! It was the only aisle i ever went up in the supermarket!
